Sky Suites KLCC by Luna Introduce
For those seeking accommodation in the vibrant heart of Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, particularly within the prestigious KLCC area, finding a suitable hotel or short-term rental is often a key part of trip planning. Sky Suites KLCC by Luna is one such option that may appear in searches for lodging in this prime location. It is important for potential guests, especially local users in Kuala Lumpur, to have a comprehensive understanding of the experiences reported by previous customers to make an informed decision about their stay.
While the allure of a KLCC address is undeniable, recent customer reviews for Sky Suites KLCC by Luna highlight significant concerns that prospective visitors should be aware of. The general overview from these firsthand accounts suggests a highly problematic experience, characterized by allegations of illegal operation, hidden charges, poor room conditions, and unsatisfactory customer service. Unlike a typical hotel experience where operational legitimacy and consistent service are usually guaranteed, these reviews point to a number of fundamental issues that could severely impact a guest's stay. For locals in Kuala Lumpur considering this property, whether for personal use, to host visitors, or for a temporary city stay, it is crucial to carefully weigh these reported challenges against the attractiveness of the location. The concept here, as described by customers, deviates significantly from what one would expect from a professionally managed accommodation, raising questions about reliability and guest comfort.
Sky Suites KLCC by Luna is located at Malaysia, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Kuala Lumpur, Jalan P. Ramlee, a highly prominent and desirable address in the heart of Kuala Lumpur's City Centre. This location is undeniably a major draw, placing guests within immediate proximity to some of Kuala Lumpur's most iconic landmarks, including the Petronas Twin Towers, Suria KLCC shopping mall, and the lush KLCC Park. Jalan P. Ramlee itself is a bustling street, known for its vibrant nightlife, diverse dining options, and accessibility to various commercial and entertainment hubs. This prime position typically offers excellent convenience for exploring the best of what Kuala Lumpur has to offer, from world-class shopping to cultural attractions.
Despite the attractive address, customer reviews suggest that the actual check-in process and overall accessibility experience can be problematic, possibly due to the alleged illegal operation. Guests reported being directed to a "meet-up location in a different building (Idaman Resort)" before being told to "walk to another building." This convoluted process, especially at odd hours, raises significant concerns about guest convenience and safety, contrary to what one would expect from a legitimate and accessible establishment in such a prime area. Normally, a property in this location would boast seamless access via public transport. The KLCC LRT station is usually a short walk away, offering connectivity to the city's extensive rail network, including direct access to KL Sentral, and other major hubs. The Bukit Nanas Monorail station is also typically within reasonable walking distance. Taxis and ride-sharing services are abundant in the KLCC area. However, the reported "suspicious & unprofessional check-in process" and the alleged need to "bring luggage discreetly by car to avoid detection by building management" severely undermine the apparent accessibility advantages of the location, creating a stressful and inconvenient experience for guests.
Based on the provided customer reviews, the services offered by Sky Suites KLCC by Luna appear to be severely lacking and inconsistent with professional hospitality standards. Instead of a clear list of reliable services, the feedback points to significant deficiencies and problematic practices:
- Lack of transparent pricing: Hidden charges for late check-in were reported, with inconsistent amounts demanded and no receipts provided.
- Unprofessional and rude staff: Customer service interactions were described as extremely rude, unhelpful, and unwilling to explain charges. There were also complaints about staff not being local and having poor English communication skills.
- No or poor housekeeping: A review explicitly stated, "I genuinely doubt the room was cleaned after the previous guest," and mentioned a dusty floor.
- Unreliable Wi-Fi: Guests experienced "unreliable, constantly disconnecting" internet service.
- Lack of basic amenities/maintenance: Key items like a "wiper in bathroom" were missing, the "hot water didn’t work," and the "toilet flush didn’t work."
- No washing machine: A noted absence, which is a common expectation in serviced apartments for longer stays.
- Substandard toiletries: The provided shower gel had an "unpleasant, generic scent."
- Deposit return issues: Guests had to call multiple numbers and faced nervous staff when attempting to retrieve their deposit.
These reported issues indicate a significant deviation from expected service levels for any accommodation, let alone one in a prime KLCC location.
The features and highlights of Sky Suites KLCC by Luna, as described by customer reviews, unfortunately focus more on critical deficiencies rather than positive attributes. While the building itself (Sky Suites) is a modern structure in a desirable location, the actual state and management of the specific units under "Luna" appear to have significant issues. Here's a summary of the reported features/issues:
- Prime Location: The physical address on Jalan P. Ramlee is indeed central and offers proximity to KLCC attractions. This is arguably the only inherent positive feature.
- Room Condition (Reported Issues):
- Dusty floors.
- Non-functional hot water.
- Bathroom flooding due to bad drainage, leading to "mold growth."
- Unclean bedsheets/doubtful cleaning after previous guest.
- Missing basic items like a bathroom wiper.
- No washing machine, which can be a key feature for serviced apartments.
- Connectivity Issues: Unreliable and constantly disconnecting Wi-Fi.
- Operational Concerns:
- Alleged "illegal operation" with signs stating "short-term rentals are not allowed."
- Requirement for discreet entry/exit with luggage to avoid building management detection.
- Convoluted and suspicious check-in process at an off-site location (Idaman Resort) before walking to Sky Suites.
- Customer Service Issues:
- Rude and unprofessional staff who refused to explain charges.
- Communication difficulties with non-local staff who barely spoke English.
- Hidden/Overcharged Fees: Instances of being forced to pay higher late check-in fees than initially quoted, with no receipt.
These reports indicate a significant gap between the expected standards of a KLCC property and the actual experience provided by this specific operator.
Given the highly concerning nature of the customer reviews, potential guests are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution. For the purpose of providing publicly available information, the address is: Malaysia, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Kuala Lumpur, Jalan P. Ramlee, however, please note the serious allegations regarding illegal operation. There is no contact phone number provided in the given information for "Sky Suites KLCC by Luna." The customer reviews explicitly warn against trusting reviews on travel agent platforms and recommend checking Google reviews for "real complaints from other victims."
Based on the overwhelming negative feedback from actual customers, Sky Suites KLCC by Luna, as described, is NOT suitable for locals in Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, nor for any other potential guest. The numerous and severe issues reported directly contradict the expectations for a comfortable, safe, and professional lodging experience, especially in a prime area like KLCC. Allegations of "illegal operation" are a major red flag, indicating that booking this accommodation could lead to complications with building management and a compromised stay. The reported "horrible service," "unclean" rooms with maintenance failures (no hot water, non-working toilet, flooding bathroom, bed bugs), "unreliable WiFi," and "hidden charges" create an environment that is far from hospitable or reliable. For any local in Kuala Lumpur looking for a temporary stay, to host family, or simply seeking a comfortable retreat in the city, the reported conditions at Sky Suites KLCC by Luna present significant risks and potential for a highly unpleasant experience. It is crucial for locals to prioritize legitimate, well-maintained, and professionally managed accommodations to ensure their safety, comfort, and peace of mind during their stay in Kuala Lumpur.

Sky Suites KLCC by Luna Reviews
I would give zero stars if I could. This Airbnb is apparently operating illegally — there was a clear sign at the apartment entrance stating that short-term rentals are not allowed. Our luggage had to be brought in discreetly by car to avoid detection by building management. The room itself was in very poor condition. The floor was dusty, the hot water didn’t work, and the bathroom was prone to flooding due to bad drainage — resulting in mold growth. The provided shower gel had an unpleasant, generic scent. I genuinely doubt the room was cleaned after the previous guest. The WiFi was unreliable, constantly disconnecting. Thankfully, I spent most of my time outside, because staying in the room was unpleasant.I hope the building management takes serious action against this illegal operation.
Jun 21, 2025 · o w oSCAM! Hidden Charges, Illegal Operation & Horrible ServiceI had an absolutely terrible experience with Sky Suites KLCC by LUNA, and I want to warn others to stay away from this scam!Hidden Charges & Misleading InformationNowhere in my Tiket.com booking did it mention an extra charge for late check-in.When I contacted Tiket.com customer service, they told me I had to pay 40 RM, which was already nonsense—but I paid. However, when I arrived, they forced me to pay 50 RM instead! When I asked why, the customer service rep was rude, refused to explain, and just said ‘call boss’ while blocking our access to the apartment. No receipt was given.Suspicious & Unprofessional Check-in ProcessThe meet-up location was in a different building (Idaman Resort), which made no sense, especially at 4 AM. I had to wait in the dark before being told to walk to another building. Now I understand why—it’s because this place is NOT LEGAL for short stays. They were scared security would notice their activities.Check-out Nightmare & Shady BehaviorI had to call three different numbers just to get my deposit back. The person I spoke to was clearly nervous, repeatedly asking if security took photos of my luggage. Clearly, they are scared of getting caught.Rude & Unprofessional StaffThe hotline customer service was extremely rude. Instead of helping, they refused to explain why I was overcharged and acted like I should just give them money without question. On top of that, the staff was not even local and barely spoke English, making communication even worse. If you’re dealing with international guests, learn how to communicate properly!⚠️ WARNING: Do NOT trust the reviews on travel agent platforms. Check Google reviews and you’ll see the real complaints from other victims.🚨 I will be reporting this place to the building management for running an illegal operation. And Tiket.com, you need to take responsibility for this misleading listing. Check your partners before promoting scams like this!⭐☆☆☆☆ (Would give zero stars if possible!)
Mar 25, 2025 · Shin IndahVery very very very bad. So bad that booking.com is trying to return my non-refundable payment for the sky suites (although they shouldn't do this, but I provided video evidence of what this accommodation really looks like, and booking.com took my side). But so far there is no money or response from the hotel. The room is not just run down. It looks more like an animal pen.The wallpaper is torn off, the drain in the kitchen sink is clogged - a foul smell. The presence of cockroaches, probably. There is no service. Literally, there is no staff, it is not provided. A torn wire from a lamp hangs from the ceiling. It is not known whether it is live, I did not really want to find out. Everything is visible on the video.
Mar 06, 2025 · Н ИльяI was unable to leave a review on Agoda because my reservation was canceled therefore unable to leave a review. Probably why reviews on Agoda were ok.This was probably the worst experience I’ve ever faced with a booking. I communicated with the host informing them of when I was leaving my departure and when to expect my arrival. I messaged when I got to KL airport, when we went through immigration and when we left the airport so they’d be ready for our arrival. Our driver from the airport was generous and provided us internet so we were able to contact WhatsApp. We called the number listed and the person told us he’d send someone to meet us. Another person called and said “room have problem, will refund.” We told him that we needed a place to stay and we already fully paid, we were traveling from out of the country with our family of 6, and we will have no where to go. Then another person called and said he was coming but we needed to verify the confirmation. He told us we had to get out of the van from the airport and go in with him in “the company car.” The car was a sedan. We didn’t know how we were going to all fit but decided to do what he said to do. While we were sitting in the car, my husband asked to see the room because they told us it was a problem then all of a sudden said there was a room. While my husband was gone, several men approached the car and we were told to get out of the car and stand on the side of the road. We could not approach the “hotel.” My 4 children and I had to stand on the side of the road with several men standing around. We felt very uncomfortable but thought it’s because we are in a different country. My husband came back and said the room was not clean but the beds were made and house keeping would come the next day. The “hotel manager” said we needed to pay a security deposit of 200 MYR and he needed a picture of our passport. I knew of the security deposit and had it in hand along with our passport. I proceeded to ask him the process because this has never happened before. Do we need to be in the room when house keeping comes? Does house keeping have a key? Who do we contact? So many people have called what is the way to communicate? He kept saying no money no card. Then he told another guy to deal with us. The next guy said they are just check in people. To which I said, ok, just help me understand the process. He ended up driving off. I gave the whole interaction on video. We were left on the side of the road. We decided to walk to 7-11 across the street to get a SIM card so we could contact Agoda. Agoda tried to help because it was close to midnight. Agoda said the hotel manager said that we didn’t make it to the check in time at 15:00, I then sent screen shots of the “hotel’s” policy that the check in was until midnight and sent screen shots of when we contacted them. As I tried to explain to Agoda what happened, Agoda then said we refused to pay the security deposit. I have videos of me having money on hand to pay. Agoda told us there could NOT be a refund because the hotel says it was our fault and Agoda was limited in what they could do. Agoda told us to make another reservation through Agoda but we COULD NOT, because by now it was the next day date and you cannot book with a day-before date. Agoda told us to go to the front desk. I kept telling Agoda, there is no front desk because it’s not a hotel. We were at a complete loss. Highly disappointed in Agoda. The security at the 7-11 building told us it was a scam and we are not the first family to experience this. The police needs to be informed. Our family of 6 walked until 3am to find another hotel to stay.In Agoda, our reservation through Sky Suites by Luna was cancelled and labeled as a “no show.” I can’t leave a review on Agoda because we were apparently a “no show.”There are several photos and videos and this information has already been given to the police. The location of the place was great if you want to stay near Petronas, but from our experience it’s not worth your security, safety, and peace of mind.
