This vibrant aesthetic is a symbol of its long-standing presence and its commitment to providing delicious and affordable meals to the community. The core appeal of Suria Tomyam lies in its mixed rice (Nasi Campur) offerings. This variety ensures there's always something to tempt every palate, whether you're craving spicy curries, stir-fried vegetables, or succulent grilled fish.
What truly sets "Kedai Kuning" apart is its remarkable longevity. To have consistently served the community for more than two decades speaks volumes about its quality, affordability, and the unwavering dedication of its team. In Kuala Lumpur's ever-evolving culinary scene, such steadfast eateries become cherished institutions, forming part of the local identity. Suria Tomyam continues to be a go-to spot for a satisfying and budget-friendly meal, making it a beloved choice for daily lunches, late afternoon "lepak" sessions, and even dinner.

- Dine-In Service: Provides a space for customers to enjoy their meals on-site, though seating might be basic and, as mentioned by a reviewer, can get warm during midday.
- Lunch and Dinner Service: Operates throughout the day, serving lunch dishes and remaining open into the evening for dinner, making it a versatile option for different meal times.

As a traditional local mixed rice stall like Suria Tomyam (Kedai Kuning), formal "promotions" or "special offers" in the modern marketing sense are less common. Their primary appeal lies in their consistent affordability, wide variety, and long-standing reputation. However, their competitive pricing structure effectively serves as a continuous "offer" to customers.
What you might consistently find, which acts as an ongoing benefit, includes:
- Value for Money Pricing: Their pricing structure is already considered competitive for daily meals, making it a budget-friendly option for locals seeking substantial and delicious food without breaking the bank. This is their core "promotion" that has kept customers loyal for decades.
- Daily Rotating Dishes: While not a discount, the continuous rotation and wide variety of dishes offered daily ensure freshness and novelty, encouraging repeat visits to try new combinations.
- "Economy Rice" Concept: The mixed rice concept inherently offers a flexible pricing system where customers pay based on the dishes they choose, allowing them to control their meal cost effectively.
For the most up-to-date daily selections and pricing, the best approach is to visit Suria Tomyam (Kedai Kuning) directly. Their consistent value and variety are what keep their loyal customer base returning time and time again.

Suria Tomyam ( Kedai Kuning) Reviews
A mixed rice food stall famously known as "Kedai Kuning" among locals. The dishes here were quite variety and price is also competitive for nowaday economy.Things need to improve are the cleanliness, ensure there were no flies during the dishes serving. Dining inside was also quite warm during midday so mostly I take aways the dishes.
Jun 02, 2025 · Shafiq IshakThis stall is one steadfast eatery. I've been to this stall since mid 90s and it still loyally serves us with variety of lunch lauk till now. Talk about more than 2 decades of service, you can say it is a definite familiar venue among Taman Tenaga locals. A good lepak place for late lunch and yes, it opens at night too. And as it said - Kedai Kuning. They stay true to its name. Yellow for the wall, yellow for other decors too. You definitely won't miss this stall!
Jan 19, 2022 · Hajar ZainalThe foods are amazing, the price is so cheap for today’s rate. 3 pax meal less than RM30 inclusive of drinks is quite rare to find nowadays. The taste is balanced, sambal belacan was delicious and their fishes were big enough to takeaway. Would definitely come here again soon.
