Choosing Floresta Hotel Chinatown means embracing a lively and authentic Kuala Lumpur experience. Whether you’re on a brief staycation to rediscover KL, visiting for a cultural event, or simply need a convenient and affordable spot to rest, this hotel offers a practical and engaging base right in the core of Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur.
---The location of Floresta Hotel Chinatown is arguably its strongest asset, placing guests directly in the vibrant pulse of Kuala Lumpur's historic heart. You'll find this hotel at 62, Jalan Sultan, City Centre, 50000 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This address situates it perfectly within Chinatown, a famous cultural and commercial hub in the city.
The most significant advantage of this location is its direct proximity to Petaling Street, the iconic hub of Chinatown. As one review enthusiastically states, you can "just head to the ground level and step right into the famous Petaling Street!" This unparalleled access means guests are immediately surrounded by a labyrinth of market stalls, traditional shops, and an incredible array of street food, offering an authentic and immersive cultural experience right outside the hotel doors. Beyond Petaling Street, the hotel's City Centre location ensures excellent connectivity to other parts of Kuala Lumpur. The nearest LRT station, Pasar Seni LRT Station, is typically just a few minutes' walk away, connecting you seamlessly to the broader Klang Valley public transport network, including the Monorail and MRT lines. Floresta Hotel Chinatown Reviews
Staycation okay, not bad for 3 star hotel. Not expecting much. Just nice. The location absolutely perfect. The staff also friendly. Just need to upgrade the room or do some renovations to make it more perfect. So far so good. Okay for staycation 1/2 days.
Jun 17, 2025 · qaleesya irdinaI truly love this hotel—affordable, perfectly located in the heart of Chinatown (just head to the ground level and step right into the famous Petaling Street!), and packed with facilities you wouldn’t usually find in a budget hotel. The hotel hires local staff, and they’re fantastic—friendly, talkative, approachable, and fluent in both Malay and English. True Malaysian hospitality! 🥰Just a heads-up, they require a RM100 cash deposit (no debit or credit cards accepted), so come prepared.
Mar 17, 2025 · Ibrahim IsmailFine, but nowhere near as good as reviews suggest. Room was windowless (which I knew before booking), but perhaps for this reason was damp and mouldy. Beds and shower were ok. Layout of the hotel is weird, making it a long walk down to the lobby area from the rooms. Service was ok. Was fine for a cheap bed for 2 nights but would not stay here again, smell of damp and mould in the room brings it down.
May 15, 2025 · Elliot StanleyGood experience staying for 1 night. Located right next to Petaling Street, noise can be heard minimally. Good price for a budget hotel, has a fridge, water heater, cool room. My room doesn't turn off the electrical supply even if we pull out the card which is a great idea especially if I'm charging my electronic devices.Deposit rm100, there's ATM at KK mart nearby. Check in and out were smooth.
May 17, 2025 · Shuhada ShaarinNot sure why this place is rated between 4 to 5 mostly but i think the people are just for the reward when you give the hotel 5 stars as I’ve seen in the signage upon checking in. Hallway and elevators are dirty. Bathroom is too small. Bed is comfy, and the room is mostly clean. The pillows and pillow sheets need to be changed as it isn’t looking clean and one seems to have a bad smell. Noisy ac. The building is old and would definitely need renovation. Wifi is ok. I don’t understand why they would even ask a deposit of 100myr when it is poorly maintained in the first place. I expected more from the photos displayed and the ratings.
