OYO 552 Hotel Kl Centre Point Introduce
Hello, Kuala Lumpur foodies and explorers! If your idea of a perfect city getaway revolves around diving deep into the vibrant street food scene of Chinatown, exploring historical landmarks, and having public transport at your fingertips, then OYO 552 Hotel Kl Centre Point might just be the spot for your next local adventure. Let's be upfront: this isn't a luxury five-star experience, and it doesn't pretend to be. As many local reviewers have candidly put it, this hotel is for those who prioritize an "extremely strategic location" for enjoying the culinary delights and cultural buzz around Chinatown KL, rather than expecting a lavish hotel stay.
Priced incredibly affordably, often around RM50 for two people for a night, OYO 552 Hotel Kl Centre Point is truly a "bargain" for its prime position. It caters to budget-conscious travelers, backpackers, and even us locals who need a convenient crash pad after a late night out in the city center. It's a pragmatic choice that understands the value of location, especially when you're keen to spend your time (and money) on experiences outside the hotel walls, like savoring every dish Chinatown has to offer.
While some reviews highlight its quirks – let's call them "character" – like unique room aromas and modest facilities, the overwhelming consensus points to its staff being "friendly and helpful." This friendly local touch is a welcome reprieve and can make all the difference in a no-frills accommodation. If you're someone who believes a hotel room is simply a place to sleep and refresh, and your main goal is to be right in the thick of Kuala Lumpur's vibrant heart, then read on to see why OYO 552 Hotel Kl Centre Point could be your smart, economical choice.
---The most compelling feature of OYO 552 Hotel Kl Centre Point is its genuinely strategic and unbeatable location in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. Situated at Unit 56, First floor, Jalan Hang Kasturi, City Centre, 50050 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, this hotel places you right where the action is. Jalan Hang Kasturi is a prime spot that immediately immerses you in the energetic atmosphere of Chinatown and its surrounding attractions.
Guests rave about its proximity to Kuala Lumpur's renowned street food scene. You are literally steps away from Petaling Street, where a kaleidoscope of sights, sounds, and especially tastes awaits. Central Market, a hub for local crafts and souvenirs, is just a 2-minute walk away. Other key landmarks like Merdeka Square, the National Textiles Museum, Sri Mahamariamman Temple, and Guan Di Temple are also within easy walking distance, allowing for effortless cultural exploration.
Accessibility is a major plus. The hotel is incredibly well-connected to public transportation, which is vital for navigating our bustling city. The Pasar Seni LRT/MRT station is a mere 2 to 3-minute walk away (approximately 200m), offering seamless access to other parts of Kuala Lumpur, including KL Tower, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, and the Petronas Twin Towers. Masjid Jamek Station is also within an 11-minute walk. For those driving, while the hotel itself does not offer parking, the convenient Central Market car park is nearby, providing an affordable parking solution (e.g., RM10 from 5 PM to 7 AM, plus RM2 per hour after). This strategic location truly makes OYO 552 Hotel Kl Centre Point an ideal base for experiencing the best of KL on foot and via public transport, saving you time and money.

OYO 552 Hotel Kl Centre Point Reviews
If you're looking for a place with a very strategic location for enjoying the street food around Chinatown KL, this is it. Just don’t expect to actually enjoy the hotel itself. The walls are nicely decorated with mold and the ceiling has that artistic water stain effect. The room has a unique aroma – a mix of old cigarette smoke and a hint of “something not quite right.” The mattress has seen better days (maybe even decades), and the AC is practically a vintage dust collector.Bathroom highlights include a wobbly sink, a broken toilet seat, and a bidet handle that’s clearly on its last legs. The shower, while warm, has the pressure of a gentle drizzle, perfect if you want to save water.Soundproofing? Zero. You’ll become quite familiar with your neighbors’ shower routines and door-slamming habits. The elevator is a cozy little metal box that makes you appreciate every safe landing. On the bright side, the staff is friendly and helpful – a small mercy in this otherwise interesting experience. 😅
May 13, 2025 · Raymond JonathanConsidering I paid just rm50 for two pax for one night, this is more than a bargain... The receptionist and staff are helpful enough. My complaints would be that the toilet is quite smelly (but after a few usage the smell was gone idk why but ok). Aircon good, got water heater and tv... Again, dont expect 2/3 star hotel experience for this price range!Note: if youre driving u can park at central market car park... Rate is rm10 (5pm to 7 am) then plus 2ringgit every hour. I ended paying rm18 since i check out at 10
Apr 15, 2025 · Asrie AyubThe stay was disappointing due to poor room hygiene. There were visible blood stains on the bedsheets, dusty floors, and a broken desk provided with empty complimentary water bottles. The water heater was non-functional, and the curtains appeared extremely dirty and dusty, seemingly untouched for a long time.
Jan 10, 2025 · CybershopThis hotel shouldn't be operating at all since it fails all the safety and hygiene measures required for a hotel. Everything is dirty and has smells toilet is moldy with broken ceiling and faucet ,sink and door . towels got holes and bed is dirty very noisy and doors not safe . Please dont waste your money on this property and dont be deceived with the nice photos and fake good comments they posted online as it is completely the opposite. This is a warning sign for you not to book this property at all.
