Masjid TNB Bangsar Introduce
For those of us in Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, especially around the vibrant Bangsar area, having access to a comfortable, spacious, and spiritually uplifting place of worship is truly a blessing. Masjid TNB Bangsar is exactly that – a beautifully designed, modern mosque that seamlessly blends into our city's contemporary landscape while providing a serene environment for prayer and community activities.
Located within the Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) complex, this mosque is not just a functional building; it's a testament to modern Islamic architecture and thoughtful urban planning. It's quickly become a favourite for many locals, particularly during busy periods like Ramadan, offering a welcoming atmosphere for everyone, from office workers to families seeking a place for spiritual connection.
Masjid TNB Bangsar is conveniently situated Off, Jalan Bangsar, Bangsar, 59100 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Its strategic location on Jalan Bangsar, a major thoroughfare, makes it highly accessible for residents and those commuting through the area. Bangsar is a well-known and easily navigable district, ensuring that finding the mosque is straightforward.
The mosque is well-connected by Kuala Lumpur's extensive public transport network. Numerous bus routes ply Jalan Bangsar, and it's within a reasonable distance of LRT/MRT stations, making it convenient for those who prefer to travel without a car. For drivers, while parking can sometimes be a bit limited, especially during peak times or special events, arriving a bit earlier can usually secure a spot. Its integration within the TNB complex means it benefits from the general infrastructure and accessibility of a major corporate campus.
Masjid TNB Bangsar is a dynamic hub that offers a variety of services to cater to the spiritual and communal needs of its worshippers:
- Daily and Friday Congregational Prayers (Solat Jemaah & Solat Jumaat): The mosque regularly hosts all five daily prayers, including the important Friday congregational prayers, accommodating a significant number of worshippers comfortably in its spacious halls.
- Religious Lectures (Kuliyyah): Before Friday prayers, the mosque often provides pre-Jumaat lectures (Kuliyyah), offering valuable Islamic insights and educational opportunities for the congregation.
- Iftar Availability during Ramadan: During the holy month of Ramadan, the mosque is known for providing free iftar (breaking fast meals), fostering a strong sense of community and generosity among worshippers. This is a highly appreciated service, drawing many visitors.
- Moreh Treats (Post-Tarawih Refreshments): Following the Tarawih prayers during Ramadan, the mosque often provides "Moreh" treats, offering light refreshments and snacks, which adds to the communal spirit.
- Tarawih Prayers during Ramadan: The mosque is a popular destination for Tarawih prayers, with good recitation from the Imam and a comfortable environment that facilitates focused worship.
- Ablution Facilities (Wudhu): Clean ablution areas are available for both male and female worshippers to perform their ritual purification. However, it's noted that the women's wudhu area can be a bit small during full capacity times.
Masjid TNB Bangsar stands out due to several impressive features that enhance the worshipper's experience:
- Modern Mosque Architecture: The mosque boasts an amazing modern architectural design, often praised for its beauty and how it reflects Kuala Lumpur's identity as a modern city. Its unique aesthetic makes it a notable landmark.
- Newly Built and Beautiful Masjid: Being a newly constructed facility, it offers pristine conditions, fresh interiors, and modern amenities, providing a highly pleasant environment for prayer.
- Spacious Prayer Hall: The mosque's interior is quite spacious, offering ample room for worshippers, which is particularly beneficial during large congregations like Friday prayers or Tarawih during Ramadan.
- Excellent Air-conditioning/Ventilation: Visitors consistently highlight that the mosque is "very cold" and has "good ventilation," ensuring a comfortable prayer experience even during warmer weather, preventing any feeling of being suffocated.
- Good Recitation from Imam: The quality of the Imam's recitation during prayers, particularly Tarawih, is often praised, contributing to a pleasant and spiritually enriching experience.
- Active Community Engagement: The mosque is known to actively update its social media with events and announcements, indicating a well-managed and engaged community.
- Pleasant Atmosphere: Overall, the mosque creates a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere for worship, encouraging regular visits.
As a religious institution, Masjid TNB Bangsar does not engage in commercial "promotions" or typical retail "special offers." However, it provides invaluable communal and spiritual "offerings" that greatly benefit the local community, especially during significant Islamic periods:
- Complimentary Iftar and Moreh: During the entire month of Ramadan, the mosque's provision of free iftar meals and moreh treats post-Tarawih is a significant community service. This encourages communal gathering and support, making it a highly attractive destination for breaking fast and night prayers.
- Free Religious Education: While not explicitly detailed, it is common for mosques to offer free religious talks (Kuliyyah) and educational sessions, providing opportunities for spiritual learning and growth without any charge.
- Access to High-Quality Facilities: The commitment to maintaining a clean, spacious, and well-ventilated environment with good Imam recitation can be seen as an ongoing "offer" of a superior prayer experience to the community, without any associated cost for access.
For more specific details on upcoming events, lectures, or special Ramadan programs, it is recommended to check notice boards at the mosque or inquire with the mosque committee directly, especially during prayer times.
For those wishing to visit or inquire about Masjid TNB Bangsar, here is the primary contact information based on its location within the TNB complex:

Please note that direct phone numbers specifically for the mosque are often managed through the larger Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) headquarters' facilities or general inquiries line, rather than a dedicated public number for the masjid itself. Perhaps most importantly, Masjid TNB Bangsar's community-focused initiatives, particularly the availability of free iftar and moreh during Ramadan, showcase its dedication to fostering a strong and supportive community spirit. Mar 26, 2025 · Hafiz FaizalA breathtaking place of worship that blends modern elegance with spiritual tranquility. Masjid TNB in Bangsar is not only architecturally stunning but also incredibly peaceful for reflection and prayer. The interior is immaculate, with a grand dome featuring geometric patterns and beautifully illuminated calligraphy panels that elevate the spiritual atmosphere. The carpeted prayer hall is spacious, soft underfoot, and designed in warm tones that add a sense of calm and comfort. What stood out most is the balance of light and symmetry—the mihrab area glows softly with layered lighting, and the clean, white walls are accented with fine Islamic motifs and subtle gold detail. The acoustics are great, and the electronic boards clearly display prayer times and useful info.✅ Highlights:Inspiring, contemporary Islamic architecturePeaceful and clean environmentSpacious hall with soft carpeting and beautiful lightingWell-maintained facilities with clear prayer schedulesA must-visit if you’re in the Bangsar area—whether for daily prayers, Jum’ah, or just a moment of peaceful reflection. Truly a gem among urban mosques in KL.
