Pelindung Beach Trail

Pelindung Hills, 26100 Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia

5.0
We were introduced to this hiking trail by our friend Muhsin, who lives at the housing nearby, and is an avid hiker himself. We had originally planned to hike up to the top of Bukit Pelindung, but we changed our plan due to the timeframe required to do so.Hence, we started our trail from the apartment building, and passed through the goat farm, before being engulfed by the shaded forest. However, the trails were already established and clearly marked, and having an experienced guide truly helped us.We finally ended up at Pantai Tongkang, which is already a stone's throw away from the more commercially known Teluk Cempedak Beach. In fact, we could clearly see the Hyatt Beach Resort from there. After gladly achieving this goal, we decided to turn back instead of proceeding to the summit of Bukit Pelindung. Maybe we could try that next time.On our way back, we had detoured slightly to visit a small and picturesque waterfall, which was a favorite destination of Muhsin and his wife, Kausar. This waterfall still remain unknown to most visitors, and would readily provide a calming and cooling dip for the sore muscles after the exhaustive hike. But we had decided to forgo that experience also, due to our time constraint. We arrived at Muhsin's house at around 6:00 pm, and both my wife and I were very proud to have successfully completed this trail safely, and without any injuries. Thanks to our guide.. - Sazali M Salleh

The Pelindung Beach Trail is nestled within the Pelindung Hills, specifically accessible from areas within 26100 Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia. Its primary access point, as described by a local hiker, can begin from apartment buildings in the vicinity of Pelindung Hills. This proximity to established residential areas in Kuantan makes it exceptionally convenient for locals.
