Resorts World Genting Introduce
For us, the people of Pahang, and indeed all Malaysians, a trip to **Resorts World Genting** often signifies a memorable escape to the cool highlands, away from the lowland heat. More than just a hotel, it's a sprawling integrated resort city perched atop a mountain, offering a diverse array of entertainment, dining, and accommodation options. This iconic destination has long been a favourite for family vacations, quick getaways with friends, and even corporate retreats. This article will provide a clear, engaging, and informative overview of Resorts World Genting, delving into its unique appeal, its various facilities, and practical tips to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for us, the local visitors.
Resorts World Genting isn't just a place to stay; it's an entire experience. From the exhilarating cable car ride up to the myriad of attractions, there's always something to do. While popular attractions like the cable car can sometimes involve long queues, as noted by a past visitor ("the only issue we had was the waiting time for the cable car and a very long queue which took nearly 3.5 hours"), the overall experience, especially at the indoor theme park, seems to make up for it: "The indoor theme park was really enjoyable and my kid had a wonderful time." This highlights that despite minor challenges, the joy and entertainment value remain high. It's a place designed to cater to diverse tastes, from thrilling rides for the adventurous to shopping and dining for those seeking a more relaxed pace. For us in Pahang, it's a readily accessible highland paradise that promises a refreshing change of scenery and endless fun.
---Resorts World Genting is spectacularly located at **Genting Highlands, 69000 Genting Highlands, Pahang, Malaysia**. Its position high up in the Titiwangsa Mountains provides a refreshing cool climate and stunning panoramic views, a welcome escape from the tropical heat prevalent in most of Pahang and other Malaysian states. This unique geographical advantage is a significant draw for visitors.
Accessing Resorts World Genting is typically done via road or a combination of road and cable car. While driving directly to the resort is an option with ample parking available, many visitors prefer the iconic cable car ride for its scenic views and unique experience. The Awana SkyWay and Genting SkyWay cable cars offer a picturesque journey, often taking about 10-20 minutes depending on the specific line. However, it's worth noting that during peak seasons or holidays, the cable car queues can be very long, as mentioned in customer reviews, sometimes extending to hours. Resorts World Genting also provides a **free shuttle service** between its various hotels and key attractions, such as the Highlands Hotel and First World Hotel, operating 24 hours a day, which helps in navigating the large resort complex. For those traveling by bus, express bus services are available from various locations, including Kuala Lumpur, directly to Genting Highlands Premium Outlets Terminal, from where visitors can take the cable car or another shuttle. The comprehensive transport network, despite occasional wait times, makes Resorts World Genting remarkably accessible for us locals looking for a highland getaway.

It was a wonderful experience visiting resorts world Genting… the only issue we had was the waiting time for the cable car and a very long queue which took nearly 3.5 hours. The indoor theme park was really enjoyable and my kid had a wonderful time.
Jun 23, 2025 · S.Aurobind YadavThe rooms are very small in first world hotel , for breakfast we had to go to highland hotel which is not at a walkable distance for everyone so they provide a shuttle bus for which a huge line is there . There are 7400 room spread over 3 tower still they cant provide the breakfast at the hotel tower itself. Ok now after you reach the highland hotel for breakfast you have to get into another waiting line because there is no space for people to sit in the dining area . People reading this review i will suggest not to add complimentary breakfast in your booking for first world hotel , there are lot of restaurant in the towers you can pay there and eat this will save a lot of tour time and will be convenient for you.
Jun 16, 2025 · MANI SAHUIt's a nice family getaway luxury resort. The temperature is perfect since it's on top of a mountain, indoor, and outdoor theme park for children and adults. Those who want to try out their luck can go to the casino. It's not kidding when advertised as the world largest hotel. I've been to many casinos, but I've never seen such a huge casino. The only downside is that there's no cocktail waitress offering to get you a drink while you are playing.
Jun 23, 2025 · Lee OnestyThe overall experience at Resorts World Genting was a mix of luxury and fun, especially for families. The hotel offers great views, is child-friendly, and has a high-tech vibe with good value for money. Location-wise, it’s well-connected to attractions and entertainment areas.
