Sungai Lembing Mines Reviews
There are short distance antique train ride from outside the tunnel to inside. Once reach inside the train operator will inform you that you will need to wait for train again if you want to go out or you can use this way to exit (he will point the way). It is like one way road/street. You will need to come out using the same way you go inside. Very interesting, informative and historical. Worth your penny.
Aug 18, 2019 · Kayattiri AnthonyA must visit destination. The simple miner train rides are unique and fun. Inside tunnel are cooling and chilling as it exudes the camaraderie of how much sweat and even blood are drop inside the tunnel. Well documented history on the wall with pictures and write up commentary....of course the entrance fees now cost Rm16 person..
Oct 22, 2017 · Fong KLInteresting place with over 100 years of history. Sadly not much artefacts of items on display to engage visitors. Just a short ride into the mine with an old mining train and then a short walk inside with stories along the tunnel. Besides there is not much to see inside the tunnel. No tour guide at all, not sure if it is bcos of MCO lock down. Could hv done it up better with historical and interactive displays. Most would find it boring except the fact it is the longest combined subterranean tunnel in the world at 322km.
Nov 27, 2020 · EK THistorical site that brings you back to the old time. Majority part of the tunnel is well covered with cement mortar/ concrete for safety issue, only at certain corner that you can find original rock formation in the mine.
Oct 11, 2019 · Hau Eng MooOne of the must visit attraction in Sg. Lembing. Enjoy a short train ride in the old mining trolley to enter the dark tunnels which leads further inside. You need torch at certain parts of the tunnels as the lightings are not well maintain. But the experience is great. According to the local folks, there was a lift that can go deeper into the ground of the mine. But due to high cost of maintenance and for safety purpose, they actually closed down the lift for visitor few years back.
