Guest Bungalow is located on Carey Island, within Sime Darby's private property. The Guest Bungalow was first occupied in 1929 and served as residence initially to the European Office Manager, subsequently the West Estate Senior Engineer thn the Mill Manager of the oil palm estate. The bungalow was left vacant in 2000. The bungalow was restored in 2006 and currently functions as a guesthouse for senior management and guests of Sime Darby Plantation. We visited this historic building and although we could not enter, took many photos of the building as well as the grounds. This bungalow has a lovely brown/yellow colour and has very interesting stonework. It is great that this historic building has been restored and kept in great condition.
